Client meeting



Here is our project:

We did a poster and a brochure on bullying. In the poster, we wrote a message to stop bullying and to end it . we then put two pictures , friends hugging and the kids bullying and then wrote 4 commandants for not bullying. For the brochure, we wrote information on bullying , types of bullying, what to do if you are bullied and what to do if you see someone being bullied. in the page before the last, we put a bullying poem and on the last page we put a pictures.

Final Evaluation

We have started by choosing to make bullying posters and brochures. So, for the first week we investigated, for the second week, we made the posters and brochures, and this week, we are trying to get mr hitchman's approval to stick the posters around school. Finally today we got his approval. Ilhem and I worked extremely hard these past weeks, and we worked wisely. Next week, we are going to present our project which is about stoping bullying about school.  There are alot of things that went well, like Pages (program) which helped us alot with making the brochures and posters. I think that we can improve on the brochures alittle, we could make it more eye catching, so that people would read it. I dont think that we ave anything to do differently because we worked very hard. Ilhem and I thaught that it would take only two or three lessons to do the posters and brochures, but we actually took 3 to 4 weeks, which is along time. We only had 1 difficulty and it was by getting mr hitchmans approval because we cant find him anywhere. We overcame this difficulty by putting the form in his inbox. We had alot of feedback from different teachers like Mrs. Suzan, Mr Hitchman, and Mrs. Blackburn, and they all told us how much they liked it.

create stage

After we finished planning the poster and brochure, it was time to actually create them. It was kind of hard to create the posters and brochures because we weren't used to Pages, but we managed to make them. After we finished doing our brochures and posters, we had to show Mrs. Blackburn or Mr. Hitchman to approve on us to stick them around the school. When we met with mrs. Blackburn, she told us to make a few changes like change the title. So, we went back to the classroom to make the changes.

Planning




Poster:

We will make a poster with a title and beneath it are 2 pictures, one with 2 friends hugging and the other with 2 boys fighting. Under the picture we will write: Which do you think is better? Then we will write five commandments for not bullying.


Brochure:

for the brochure, we will have a title of bullying beware of it. on the first page there will be a little paragraph about bullying. on the 2nd page there will be about about the types of bullying and the third page will have aboyt what to do if you are bullied and what to do if you see someone being bullied. on the page before the last will be a bullying poem. on the last page will be full of pictures. on the 3 first pages will be like a banner saying no bullying and 3 pics on top of it.

Compare & Contrast

All of the websites say what is bullying, and most of the websites include types of bullying. 
Some differences are that some websites have games and others don't. Some websites are colorful and other websites only use simple colors like white and black.
The websites are well designed because they are clear and easy to read. The games and the information are intended for kids age 8-14, because they are clear and easy information, and it tells you what to do if you get bullied.

investigation-Bullying


What is bullying?
Bullying is when someone keeps doing or saying things to have power over another person. Some of the ways they bully other people are by: calling them names, saying or writing nasty things about them, leaving them out of activities, not talking to them, threatening them, making them feel uncomfortable or scared, taking or damaging their things, hitting or kicking them, or making them do things they don't want to do.

Types of bullying:
Verbal: Verbal bullying is when a child is called names, threatened and made to feel bad.
Physical:Physical bullying is when a child is hit, punched, or pushed.

Cyber: This type of bullying can be chat rooms, online, instant messaging, on a mobile phone or even emails.

Final Evaluation for iWeb (floods)

This is my final evaluation for iWeb. I have made 5 navigation buttons, Home, Flood Information, Emergency Plan, Reference, Pictures and Vidoes. I added the most important facts in Flood Information page. I also added 'what you need to know in case of a flood' in the emergency plan. I added a couple of pictures and 1 video in the ' Pictures & Videos'. I also wrote what websites i used in the reference page.
I had fun using iWeb, and i learned how to use iWeb.

Client Meeting

1.My web pages fit my plan, but there are a couple of things I cant add to my web pages like a photo gallery.
2.My topic is: Flood. I have done a lot of research about floods, and posted them in my Google documents. I have also added a couple of nice pictures. Then I used iWeb to add all my information, and i also added pictures.
3. I decided to use a Notebook background, which is great and like it. It has many different colorful colors, like blue, yellow, green, and orange. I have also added 1 video about floods.
4. At the moment I have 5 pages but 2 or 3 of them are blank, but i am going to fill them with facts, games , pictures and many other interesting things.
5. Many things in Apple iWeb works perfectly, and some things doesn't work very good. Inserting pictures and texts were very easy, but i had trouble inserting videos, but now I managed to insert a video.
7. No, I dont have an emergency page, or a reference page.
8. At the moment, i dont have a delicious account, but will make one now.

Different Websites

I chose to compare two different websites:

Good Website:

This website is very useful, it is easy to read, and has information about what is happening in the world. For example, whats happening in Gaza. The information is well organized, and is very neat.

Bad Website:

This website is not useful, it is hard to read because there are so much information, the colors are also very bright which hurts the eyes. The information is not well organized and isn't neat.

Communication and the Internet

  • Which communication forms are synchronous?
  • Which ones are asynchronous?
  • What type of information would be conveyed by each form?
  • What is needed in hardware and software for each?

  1. The Television and the radio are both communications. They are synchronous because they happen at the same time. Both T.V and radio are hearable.  You can hear the radio and watch T.V at the same time.
2. The messenger, and face-book chat

3. By sending email, because by sending post mails it would take a much longer time.

4. For hardware we need a computer, and for software we need a mobile phone.

  3. What essential information needs to be communicated during a disaster or emergency?
  4. What information can be created before the emergency? What information needs to be communicated during the emergency?
  5. What hardware and software is required to be able to communicate online?

1. Communication is very important during an emergency because you can help other people when they need something or when they are hurt, and other people may help you when you need help.

2. There are some forms of communication formed during recent disasters. One communication is the internet, many people use the internet to get information. There are many websites that tells you what happened, how many people are hurt, and many other useful information. Another communication is television. Many people watch television, and there are many useful channels that give information about disasters. Another communication is people. You may get some useful information from people, but some people may give wrong information, so when somebody asks you about the disaster you give the wrong information and so on.

3. There are essential information that needs to be communicated during a disaster or emergency. People have to know what is happening in the disaster, and how many people are hurt, so that they can help.

4. The information that can be created before the emergency is to inform people. For example, if there was a hurricane, we can inform people that a hurricane is coming, so people will leave the city. The information needs to be communicated during the emergency, is to keep people updated. That way, people will know what is happening.

5. They should have internet connection, so that they can communicate online. For example, using messenger, or building a website to inform people about the emergency.
